You’ll notice it immediately. Your shower doesn’t smell like rotten eggs anymore. Your coffee tastes better. Your dishes come out of the dishwasher without spots or film.
But the real difference shows up over time. Your water heater isn’t fighting mineral buildup. Your washing machine runs cleaner. Your toilets and sinks stay white instead of stained orange.
And you stop wondering whether the water your family drinks and bathes in is actually safe. That’s what proper well water filtration does. It removes the iron, sulfur, and bacteria that make Central Florida well water such a headache. You get clean water from every tap, and your appliances last longer because they’re not constantly battling contamination.
We specialize exclusively in water purification and filtration for homeowners in Uptown and throughout Lake County. We don’t do plumbing. We don’t install water heaters. We focus entirely on solving well water problems because that’s what we’re best at.
We’re A-rated by the Better Business Bureau with zero complaints and a 5-star rating. We’re members of the National Water Quality Association, which means we follow the highest industry standards. And unlike national companies that sell equipment and disappear, we’re local. We stay available for service and support after installation.
We also offer a $500 discount for military members and first responders, and we’re proud supporters of the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
First, we test your water. Not just for hardness or iron, but for everything that could be affecting your water quality. Bacteria, nitrates, sulfur, pH levels. We need to know exactly what we’re dealing with before we recommend anything.
Once we have your results, we explain what’s in your water and what it means for your home. Then we design a system specifically for your situation. If you have high iron and sulfur, we might recommend hydrogen peroxide injection or air injection oxidation. If bacteria is the issue, we’ll include disinfection. Every system is built for your water, not pulled off a shelf.
Installation typically takes a day. We set up the equipment, test everything to make sure it’s working correctly, and walk you through how to maintain it. Then we stay available if you need us. That’s the difference between working with a local company and a national brand that won’t answer the phone six months later.

Most well water problems in Uptown come down to three things: iron, sulfur, and bacteria. Sometimes all three at once. That’s because of Central Florida’s geology. The sandy soil and limestone create the perfect conditions for these contaminants to thrive in well systems.
Iron removal systems handle the orange stains that show up on everything. We use oxidation methods like air injection or hydrogen peroxide injection to convert dissolved iron into particles that can be filtered out. Hydrogen peroxide systems work especially well when you’re dealing with higher iron levels plus sulfur and bacteria, because the peroxide tackles all three.
For hydrogen sulfide treatment, we install systems that eliminate the rotten egg smell without adding chemicals to your water. Air injection oxidation is one of the most effective methods. It oxidizes the sulfur gas so it can be filtered out before it reaches your taps.
And for bacteria disinfection, we make sure your system includes components that kill harmful bacteria and prevent it from growing back. Florida’s warm climate accelerates bacterial growth in wells, so this isn’t optional if testing shows contamination. The Florida Department of Health recommends testing your well annually for bacteria and nitrate, and we take those recommendations seriously when designing your system.
Basic systems for simpler water issues typically start around $800 to $1,500. If you’re dealing with multiple problems like high iron, sulfur, and bacteria, you’re looking at a more comprehensive system in the $2,000 to $5,000 range.
The price depends entirely on what’s in your water and what equipment you need to fix it. That’s why we start with testing. We’re not going to sell you a $4,000 system if a $1,500 one solves your problem.
And here’s something worth considering: replacing a water heater costs $1,200 to $2,000. A washing machine runs $600 to $1,200. If contaminated water destroys those appliances every few years, you’re spending more than a filtration system would have cost in the first place. Proper treatment protects your investment in your home and everything in it.
A water softener removes hardness minerals like calcium and magnesium. That’s it. It helps with scale buildup and makes your water feel softer, but it doesn’t remove iron, sulfur, bacteria, or other contaminants that are common in Uptown well water.
A well water filtration system addresses the actual contamination in your water. Iron removal systems eliminate the orange staining. Hydrogen sulfide treatment gets rid of the rotten egg smell. Bacteria disinfection makes your water safe to drink.
Most homes in this area need both. You need filtration to remove contaminants, and you might also need softening to address hardness. But if you only install a softener and skip the filtration, you’re still going to have iron stains, sulfur smells, and potentially unsafe bacteria in your water. We test first so we know exactly what you need.
You don’t, unless you test it. Some contaminants change how your water looks, smells, or tastes. Iron turns it orange. Sulfur makes it smell like rotten eggs. But bacteria, nitrates, and other harmful contaminants don’t necessarily show any signs at all.
The Florida Department of Health recommends testing your well water annually for bacteria and nitrate at minimum. If you haven’t tested in over a year, or if you’ve never tested, you should. Florida’s Well Surveillance program has sampled over 54,500 wells since 2005, and more than 5,700 of them had chemical concentrations above federal drinking water standards.
We provide comprehensive water testing that checks for everything from basic hardness and iron to bacteria and chemical contaminants. Once you know what’s in your water, you can make an informed decision about whether you need treatment. But guessing isn’t a good strategy when it comes to your family’s health.
Yes, if it’s designed correctly. The rotten egg smell comes from hydrogen sulfide gas, which is extremely common in Central Florida wells. It thrives in warm, oxygen-poor environments, which describes most well systems in this area.
The most effective treatment methods are air injection oxidation and hydrogen peroxide injection. Air injection oxidation introduces oxygen into your water, which oxidizes the hydrogen sulfide so it can be filtered out. Hydrogen peroxide injection works similarly but also handles bacteria and higher iron levels at the same time.
The key is matching the treatment method to your specific water chemistry. If you have low levels of sulfur and nothing else, air injection might be all you need. If you have sulfur plus high iron and bacteria, hydrogen peroxide is usually the better choice. That’s why we test first and design the system around your actual water conditions, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
It depends on the type of system and what’s in your water, but most systems need attention once or twice a year. Some components like filters need to be changed periodically. Other parts like injectors or air chambers might need cleaning or adjustment.
Florida’s climate makes regular maintenance more important than it would be in other states. The warm weather accelerates bacterial growth and mineral buildup, which means your system works harder here than it would in a cooler climate.
We walk you through the maintenance schedule when we install your system, and we stay available for service calls if something needs attention. That’s one of the main reasons to work with a local company instead of a national brand. When you need service or have a question six months after installation, we actually answer the phone. We’ve heard too many stories from homeowners who bought equipment from national companies and got zero support afterward.
